Ajax coach Frank De Boar has expressed his concerns about losing his most prominent player in the squad, Christian Eriksen, if the Danish international decides to move to Tottenham during this transfer window.

Frank Boar said: “His departure will be an enormous loss, Chris was very important for us,”

He also exclaimed that he hopes the youngster would be a huge success in the Premier League and that he would be disappointed if the player doesn’t live up to the expectations. He went on to praise the player’s efforts and hard work he put in for the club saying, “We always have work in a good way. Players who are that good and also the ideal professional are, for a coach, the most ideal players.”

The 21-year-old midfielder has been linked to several other top flight European clubs after he carved a niche for himself in the Eredivisie.

Tottenham were said to be given the thumbs-up to work out a deal with the striker to bring him to White-Hart Lane.
