Ajax have agreed a one-season loan deal for Bojan Krkic from Barcelona, Ajax coach Frank de Boer confirmed.

“He is a top class player,” de Boer, former Barcelona player, stated on the Ajax website, reports Xinhua.

“He has individual class, can score goals and give assists. We can use him in the forthcoming season. I already spoke to him to convince him to move to Ajax. I will use him as right winger, but he can also play as center forward or as left winger.”

The 22-year-old Krkic spent the past two seasons at AS Roma (2011 and 2012) and AC Milan (2012 and 2013) respectively. For Roma he played 33 Italian Serie A matches, in which he scored seven times and for Milan he scored three times in 19 matches.

Krkic came through via the FC Barcelona youth academy and made his debut in the first team at the age of 17 in 2007. His contract at Barcelona runs out in 2015. Ajax have the option to extend Bojan’s loan spell by an additional season.
