Anthony Martial, the 20-year-old Manchester United striker has created havoc in the Barclays Premier League since his arrival at Old Trafford from the French side Monaco in the summer transfer window.
The United forward has not only found the back of the net seven times this season but also has provided three assists in 24 league appearances for the Red Devils.
In a recent interview given to RTL, the United forward told the press that Louis van Gaal is the reason he has made great strides in English football and that he owes the Dutch manager a lot.
“He has allowed me to progress enormously, he has also given me an enormous amount of confidence and I think it is thanks to this that I have succeeded with my start at Manchester United,” Martial told RTL, a television, radio and production company based in Europe.
“He is a very good coach. In his nature, he seems cold on the exterior but he is a very good coach. He is nice- when we win, he is happy,” the former Monaco forward stated.
Manchester United have not been the all-conquering side that they once were under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson. The inconsistency of the football club has constantly put the current Red Devils boss, Louis van Gaal, under enormous pressure to get the team back to their glory days.

There have been a number of rumours regarding the future of the Dutch manager at the Manchester club. Jose Mourinho, who was sacked earlier in the season, is the number one target to replace Van Gaal should the Dutch manager be removed from his position at the end of this season.
Mourinho, who has had a highly successful career in a number of big clubs such as FC Porto, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea is speculated to have already signed a contract worth 60 million pounds with Manchester United.
The Red Devils have had a forgettable outing this campaign with their only hope of winning silverware depending on how they fare against West Ham in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
The club is also not guaranteed Champions League football for next season as they lie sixth in the Premier League table. They are just a point behind Manchester City, who currently occupy the fourth and final Champions League spot. Failure to qualify for the lucrative tournament could be the end of Van Gaal’s tenure in Manchester.
