What's the story?

Speaking in an interview broadcast with Globo TV, PSG forward Neymar Jr, opened up on a potential move to Real Madrid. Despite admitting that he is happy at the French capital, the Brazilian winger didn't rule out a move to 13-time European champions.

In case you didn't know..

World's most expensive footballer, Neymar Jr, is playing his second season with the French champions. Currently, he is recovering from a foot injury which ruled him out of the round of 16 clashes against Manchester United.

The left-winger has scored 20 goals and set up another 11 in just 23 appearances for PSG, this season.

Ever since he left FC Barcelona in 2017, the Samba boy is being linked with their eternal rivals, Real Madrid. The latter, after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo from the club, are in search of a top-notch forward and a global star who can fill the void left by the Portuguese.

Latest rumours have linked the 27-year-old with a return to Barcelona, however, his father Neymar Sr has ruled off his son's interest in the Catalan club and feels that Neymar is happy in Paris.

The heart of the matter

Speaking in his country, the PSG forward opened up on the possibility of joining his former rivals,

"If I want to play for Madrid? They are one of the biggest clubs in the world," he told Globo TV.
"Any player linked with Real Madrid would feel attracted to player there.
"For the love of God, I am not speaking about playing for Madrid, calm down," Neymar insisted.
"I feel happy in Paris, I am very well here... but, in the future, nobody knows.
"It is obvious that Real Madrid are a great team, one of the best in the world, I have great respect for them but, today, I see myself in Paris," he said.

What's next?

As of now, the Brazilian is working hard to recover from his injury and join Thomas Tuchel's side soon. PSG hold a firm grip over the UCL knockout tie with Manchester United, thanks to Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe who put up a sparkling performance at the Old Trafford.

It remains to see whether Neymar Jr chooses to stay with the French outfit or makes a La Liga return at the end of the season.
