It was not the most spectacular return to the Manchester City lineup for Kevin De Bruyne. But the talismanic Belgian was nonetheless heavily involved in the proceedings against Arsenal.

Arsenal were woeful in attack against Manchester City, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's performance sticking out like a sore thumb.

So often a prolific goal-scorer for the Gunners, especially in big games like the one against Manchester City, the Gabonese hitman was uncharacteristically poor on the night. He failed to muster a single effort on target all game.

Whenever Arsenal looked to counter, Aubameyang contrived to give the ball away on the break or made a poor first touch, which fizzled out some promising attacking moves.

He's the kind of player who normally thrives in such situations, but that was not to be against Manchester City. In a season blighted with injuries and lack of form, Aubameyang endured another forgettable outing.

He was an absolute rock at the back for the Sky Blues, repelling everything that Arsenal threw his way. Stones also played a crucial role in keeping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quiet.
