Arsenal bid £10 million for Atletico's Adrian Lopez

Arsenal FC are set to act swiftly in the transfer market and Goal.com has revealed that the Gunners have tabled a bid of £10 million. But this is not anywhere close to his buyout clause, which stands at £14.7m, although the Gunners are confident they can agree a deal at this price.

Lopez was in fine form for Atletico last season and netted a total of 19 goals in all competitions, but has found himself on the periphery of the first team this season and is ready to make a move. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be a long-term admirer of the Spaniard and is keen to bolster his attacking ranks in this window.
