The Gunners’ manager is trying his best to take advantage of the fact that the North London club have paid off the debts accumulated by the relocation to the Emirates Stadium and they are also ready to spend big with fresh sponsorship deals.

His list of priorities include two of the best talents of Borussia Dortmund- Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels – who are believed to be the future of the German National team.

Though Arsenal have the 3 center back options - Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Thomas Vermaelen – Wenger’ back line has been seen wanting on many occasions.

The central defender could cost Arsenal as much as £25m and this seems likely given the fact that Bayern Munich is in top spot and Jurgen Klopp’s side are in third position, 12 points behind Bayern Munich. This could definitely tempt Hummels for a possible Premier League move.

A move for playmaker Mario Gotze could be a major coup for Arsenal.

The 20-year-old can play either on the flank or across the mid-field and can add to the creativity to the Arsenal side. He could be picked up for £30m due to a new release clause in his Westfalenstadion contract.

It is only because of club’s falling fan base that Wenger is not hesitant to spend vast sums on new additions. As Arsenal have had one of their worst starts to the season, bringing in new talents and especially young ones would pacify the fan base.
