Arsenal looking at Adil Rami to strengthen defence

Arsenal‘s defence has been very poor this season with Laurent Koscielny, Thomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker all struggling for form.

Sources say that Arsene Wenger is looking at long term target Adil Rami. Wenger is known to be a big admirer of the center back and also had a failed bid of £17m for the 27 year old in the past.

However, the defender is now available for a much cheaper cost, at £10m.

Rami is playing his second season in the La Liga with fifth placed Valencia, who struggle financially. The former Lille man has been given the tag of “no nonsense center-back” because of his style of play.

The French international has a Ligue 1 title with Lille and has represented France 25 times.

Rami has also been linked with Barcelona and AC Milan as well.
