According to an interview given to the club's official website, Arsenal winger, Alexis Sanchez has revealed that his dismal performance in Arsenal's 2015-16 campaign is giving him sleepless nights. The Chilean international has had a forgetful season as he has found the back of the net merely 11 times in 34 outings in all competitions.

“When I don’t score goals I feel like I’ve failed the team and I feel guilty. I go home, can’t sleep and I just think I have to play better,” he informed the club's website.

Later he also added, “I think that I’ve adapted really well in terms of fitting into the club and it’s been very good but at the same time I’m not the kind of person to become complacent or think. That’s it.”

Sanchez made his senior team debut for the Chilean club, Cobreloa before getting transferred to Udinese Calcio. The 27-year-old has also made 88 appearances for FC Barcelona from 2011-2014 scoring 39 goals for the Catalan side.

From Barcelona to London

He had joined the Gunners at the start of the 2014-15 season and had scored 16 goals for the North London club in his debut season. This season, however, has been completely disastrous for Sanchez who underwent a streak of ten goalless Premier League matches before scoring a hat-trick against Leicester City on 26 September 2015.

The Arsenal man has been a regular international player for Chile since 2006. He has earned 91 caps for his country's national side which has made him Chile's second most capped player of all time after goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo.

Also, with 31 goals to his name, Sanchez is the South American country's joint third top scorer of all time.

He has participated in a couple of FIFA World Cups (2010 and 2014) and CONMEBOL Copa Americas (2011 and 2015) each, winning the latter for the very first time in the history of Chilean football in 2015.

Alexis Sanchez was heavily linked with the English giants, Liverpool before the start of the 2014-15 season and the Chilean had later gone on record to say that he had chosen the Gunners over the Reds because he simply couldn't resist linking up with Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal currently occupies the third position in the Premier League table and is on their quest for a record third successive FA Cup victory since Blackburn Rovers, who had accomplished the same in 1886 as they face Watford in the quarters at the Emirates on Sunday.
