Juventus eyeing Bellerin

Juventus eyeing summer move for Hector Bellerin

The Gunners right-back is one of the best players in his position and has been at Arsenal since 2011. Prior to that, Bellerin spent time at Barcelona's La Masia as an attacking winger. However, the guidance of Arsenal's assistant manager, Steve Bould helped him become an able right-back and now the Spaniard is a constant fixture in the first-team.

Thus, the news from Italian newspaper, Tuttosport, will be a cause for concern among the Gunners faithful as the outlet reports that Serie A champions, Juventus, are interested in the player. The Italian giants are reportedly looking to sign a new right-back in the summer in order to replace Stefan Lichtsteiner, who turns 34 in January.

The Swiss international has a contract with the Old Lady till 2018, implying Juventus will look to bring in a replacement in the summer to allow for a smooth transition. The report states Paris Saint-Germain's Thomas Meunier and Atletico Madrid's Sime Vrsaljko as next on their wish-list, which is led by Bellerin.

The 22-year old signed a new six-year deal at the Emirates last year, which puts him among the top earners at Arsenal. Wenger will be highly reluctant to do any sort of business related to Bellerin but a lot will hinge on whether the London club secure Champions League football for next season.

Wenger confirms Giroud stay until the summer at the minimum

Southampton v Arsenal - Premier League
Giroud is set to stay put in January

The 31-year old has found himself relegated to the bench since the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette in the summer and has seen game-time limited to cup competitions. Thus, the player has been linked with a move away from the Emirates in January in order to stay in contention for the France World Cup squad with the tournament occurring next summer.

Several clubs were interested in the striker with reports stating Giroud was looking to stay in London and make a loan move to secure his World Cup spot. However, Arsene Wenger squashed the rumours after the Premier League match against Southampton. He told Sky Sports:

"He is important - why should we lose an important player? It is up to us [and not Giroud].He will start more games. I believe as well it's always the same when you have many good players, some of them cannot play."
"The question you get is always why does the guy who is good not play? Because if you take him on you have another guy who is good who will not play, it is as simple as that."

Thus, Giroud is very likely to stay at Arsenal until the summer.

Gunners looking to sign Sergio Romero

Russia vs Argentina - International Friendly
Could Romero join Arsenal?

The Manchester United goalkeeper is behind David de Gea in the pecking order at Old Trafford. Despite United manager Jose Mourinho praising Romero for his performances in cup competitions, De Gea is hard to displace given he is currently one of the best keepers in world football.

Thus, the Argentina no.1 could very likely look for more playing time and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the player, as per Alex Apati of Ladbrokes. Wenger is looking to replace Petr Cech in the near future with the former Chelsea stopper in a slow decline.

"With David de Gea on the scene, Romero is never going to break into Mourinho's first-team plans - and it now looks likely that Wenger will take advantage of the Argentine's availability."

Romero could definitely prove to be a good option having starred in the Red Devils' Europa League win in the previous season. However, Manchester United will be reluctant to sell any of their players to a domestic rival making it difficult for Arsenal to complete a deal.
