Hector Bellerin is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right-back for the Spain national team and Primeira Liga side Sporting CP.

Early Life

Hector Bellerin was born on March 19, 1995, in Barcelona, Spain. He grew up in the Spanish city of Sant Cugat del Vallès, which is located in the province of Barcelona. As a child, Bellerin showed a keen interest in sports and was particularly passionate about football. He joined the famous La Masia academy, which is the youth system of FC Barcelona, at the age of eight.

In 2011, Bellerin was scouted by Arsenal FC, and he made the decision to move to England to join their youth academy. Despite initially struggling with homesickness and the language barrier, he quickly adapted to life in London and began to make a name for himself within the club's youth system.

Club Career

Bellerin started his club career at Arsenal FC, where he moved to from the Barcelona youth academy in 2011. After impressing in the club's youth teams, he was handed his first-team debut by Arsene Wenger in September 2013 in a League Cup match against West Bromwich Albion.

Bellerin gradually established himself as Arsenal's first-choice right-back over the next few seasons, and his pace, energy, and attacking ability down the right flank made him a popular player among Arsenal fans. During his time at Arsenal, he won three FA Cups and three FA Community Shields and made 239 appearances for the Gunners.

In the summer of 2021, Bellerin was loaned out to Spanish club Real Betis for the 2021-22 season. He made 28 appearances for the club in all competitions and helped them to qualify for the Europa League.

On September 1, 2022, Bellerín returned to Barcelona following the termination of his contract at Arsenal. He made his debut for his hometown club on September 10, starting in a 4–0 win at Cadiz. On January 31, 2023, Bellerin was signed by Primeira Liga side Sporting CP on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

International Career

Bellerin made his debut for the Spanish under-21 team in 2014 and helped them win the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2015. He made his senior international debut for Spain in November 2016, in a friendly match against England.

Bellerin has since earned three more caps for Spain, with his most recent appearance coming in a 1-1 draw with Germany in September 2018. Despite some impressive performances at club level, he has not been a regular member of the Spanish national team.
