The midfielder confirmed his signing to the north London club and is widely regarded as one of the most significant signings of all time for Arsenal.

This piece of transfer business came as a huge relief to the club and their fans after missing out on the signatures of Luis Gustavo and Liverpool want away striker Luis Suarez.
