Henry was one of the most influential footballers in the history of Premier League football. Wenger signed Henry from Juventus in 1998 and he went on to become the most prolific goal-scorer in the club’s history with 226 goals in 369 matches. Henry was primarily a striker and formed a deadly striking partnership with the Dutch great Dennis Bergkamp at Arsenal. Those two tormented the defenders of other clubs and wrote the most glorious chapter in the club’s history.
Henry could also cut inside from the left wing and let loose his thunderous shots. He was a very good dribbler too. His magnificent hat-trick against AS Roma in 2002 and his stupendous performance against Real Madrid in 2006 are part of the club’s folklore.
Henry was selected in the 'Premier League’s team of the Century'. He also finished runner-up in Ballon D’Or in 2003 and also won the Golden Boot four times. The legend left the club in 2007 and made a brief return to play only four matches in 2012. He continues to be a benchmark of excellence for the Premier League strikers.

Growing up, he idolized Boris Becker, but he now firmly believes Novak Djokovic stands alone as the 'Greatest of all Time', especially considering the 24-time Grand Slam champion's incredible stats. When not working for Sportskeeda, Subhadeep delves into the other "love of his life": football, and enjoys contributing his insights to different websites dedicated to the sport.
