Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has urged Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez to join him at the Allianz Arena.

The 28-year-old joined the Bundesliga champions from Juventus last summer and has been one of the key players in their midfield. Current manager Pep Guardiola will leave the club and has agreed to join Premier League side Manchester City in the summer.

The German club have already agreed to bring in Carlo Ancelotti after the end of the season. According to AS Chile, the incoming Bayern manager has made signing Sanchez as a priority in the summer transfer window.

Vidal and Sanchez have played together from a very young age and were a part of Chile's squad that won the 2015 Copa America in their home soil. The midfielder is now hoping that the Gunners forward could leave the Emirates and make a switch to Germany to play alongside him at Bayern.

"We've played together since the Under-20 international team, so it would be nice to play with him," Vidal said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

Sanchez has over two years left on his contract at Arsenal and he has seen a dip in his form after an impressive debut season in 2014-15 campaign. Arsene Wenger remains confident that the Chilean, along with midfielder Mesut Ozil, who also has over two years left at the Emirates will commit their future to the north London club.

“I am confident. They have a two-year contract left and there's been nothing done yet," Arsenal manager said.

“They look happy, when I talk to them they are happy and they want to extend their contracts so I don't think it is a problem.”

Bayern sit on top of the league table with 78 points from 30 matches, seven points ahead of second place Borussia Dortmund. With four more games remaining in the league, Vidal is on the verge of winning the title with the Bavarians this term.

In the last fixture, they defeated Werder Bremen in the German Cup to reach the final. In addition to this, they have a good chance of winning the Champions League after reaching the semi-final. They face Atletico Madrid in the last four of the tournament. The former Serie A star has set his sights on winning the treble with his current employers.

"The team is winning and is going really well. The Bundesliga is our top priority and we'll be focused on Saturday to secure the title. But the triple is what we want and is our goal," Vidal added.
