In a very shocking and one of the most strange moves, Atletico Madrid have signed American spy Jason Bourne to further strengthen their attacking lineup which already exists of names like Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres. The president of Atletico Madrid Enrique Cerezo and defender Felipe Luis presented Bourne with the Atletico Jersey which has previously been donned by greats like Indiana Jones aka Harrison Ford, Catwoman aka Halle Berry and Nick Fury aka Samuel L Jackson. Bourne is the latest addition to the star power which already contains iconic characters from Hollywood.

Jokes aside, Matt Damon was in the Spanish capital Madrid to promote his latest Hollywood flick Bourne in the Bourne series. The 45-year-old Matt Damon along with club president Enrique Cerezo and defender Felipe Luis were seen promoting the film in Madrid.

Speaking with the press Matt Damon said ‘Yes, I know Atletico are fantastic. They remind me of my favourite team, the Boston Red Sox.’ Damon who has played the titular character in five of the Bourne movies appears in the video below shows Cerezo and Luis unveiling Damon as their latest signing.
According to Daily Mail, as part of a deal with Columbia studios, the club has co-produced hit titles like Spiderman 2, Bad Boys 2, Hellboy and Hollywood Homicide department. Cerezo also joked about the incident by calling Damon as his summer signing. The following tweet shows Cerezo and Felipe Luis presenting Damon with the Atletico Madrid Jersey.
Manager Deigo Simeone, however, kept away from all the Hollywood frenzy as he was nowhere to be found. The reporters, on the other hand, were inclined towards Atleti’s activity in the transfer market. Atletico Madrid are rumored to have been linked with Carlos Bacca with a move from AC Milan, but West Ham are also rumored to have shown express in the Columbian striker.
As reported, by Daily Mail start striker Griezmann reportedly held talk with French giants Paris Saint-Germain before prior to Euro 2016, but after signing a fresh five-year deal with the club the rumors ended up to be baseless.
After coming inches closer to the La Liga and Champions league Atletico will look forward to strengthening their squad and will challenge for the La Liga title yet again. Whether the “latest signing” will help them get closer to glory, only time can tell.
