Atletico Madrid kept maintained their good start to the season with an easy 3-0 victory over Austria Wien courtesy of a brace by Brazilian Diego Costa.
Team manager Diego Simeone has heaped praises on the 25-year-old for his performance. Simeone said : “Diego Costa was unbelievable today, he had an excellent game, scored two goals and showed how important he is for the team.”
He also spoke about Raul Garcia and the entire team as he said, “Raul Garcia also gave a fantastic performance, but I would like to praise the team as a whole.The whole team were compact and played well, with some nice attacks and goals.”
“We have nine points from three games, we are on a good run in the league and in the Champions League, but we cannot fall asleep,” continued the Atletico boss.
“We have to take it game by game and do our best to continue like this.We are going very well at the moment.”
Atletico Madrid have won 8 of their 9 games with their only defeat coming against Espanyol last week.
