#9 – Sadio Mane

Liverpool FC v Watford FC - Premier League

For many, Mohamed Salah is still the best forward at Liverpool and arguably so. However, Sadio Mane has given him a run for his money and has proved to be one of the best in the world this season.

The Senegal man has been in top form this season, and the Liverpool fans will never forget his contribution against Bayern Munich. The first leg draw saw a lot of pundits question if the Reds had it in them to win the big trophy again and the players showed what they have got on the pitch.

Mane scored just 2 goals in 5 games during May but his contribution cannot be defined by just the amount of goals scored or assisted. Ranked outside the top 10 last month, Mane has broken into the rankings once again but is unlikely to win the award even if he helps Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations.
