Thibaut Courtois - 6/10

The Real Madrid custodian had very little to do for most of the game against Barcelona, as he made just one save throughout the 90 minutes. The Belgian was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet, though, as he conceded a late goal to Sergio Aguero.

Lucas Vazquez - 7/10

Vazquez enjoyed a solid outing on the right side of Real Madrid's defence. The Spaniard was quite lively at either end of the pitch. His late goal proved to be pivotal in ensuring Real Madrid's victory on the night.

Eder Militao - 7/10

Militao is slowly turning into one of Los Blancos' most reliable players. The defender had yet another solid outing at the heart of Madrid's defence. He showcased his impressive defensive awareness and understanding throughout the game against Barcelona.

David Alaba - 8/10

Alaba was on top of his game against Barcelona. He showcased his on-the-ball ability to the fullest. His build-up play was absolutely spot on too. He topped his day with a stunning goal on his Clasico debut to give his side an all-important lead in the first half.

Ferland Mendy - 6/10

He was pretty solid throughout except for a lapse in concentration leading to Dest's first-half chance. Otherwise, he did what was required of him, and he created one good chance in attack.

Casemiro - 7/10

Casemiro showcased grit and resilience in midfield throughout the game. He swept everything that was thrown at the Los Blancos' defence. The Brazilian registered an astonishing seven interceptions throughout the game against Barcelona.

Toni Kroos - 7/10

Kroos showcased his adept reading of the game, keeping play ticking with his neat and accurate passes. He was given very little time on the ball to dictate play, but he chipped in with a slick 98% pass accuracy and three tackles against Barcelona.

Luka Modric - 7/10

Just like his midfield counterpart Kroos, Modric was efficient in his passing, and managed to contain the Barcelona midfield quiet for much of the game. He won the ball quite a few times, and kept play ticking for his side.

Rodrygo - 7/10

Rodrygo put up a diligent performance for Real Madrid, linking up well with his forward colleagues. His off-the-ball movements were impressive, and he combined well with his teammates. The youngster also picked out a perfect pass for Alaba's opener.

Karim Benzema - 6/10

It was an uncharacteristically quiet outing for Benzema, who has been on fire for a couple of months coming into the game. The Frenchman failed to make a telling impact on the game, and he was guilty of missing two big chances as well.

Vinicius Junior - 7/10

He put up a dynamic first-half performance, and linked up well with Karim Benzema. Although he didn't have much involvement in front of goal, Vinicius provided a sublime pass for Rodrygo in the build-up to Madrid's first goal.

Ratings of Real Madrid substitutes against Barcelona

Federico Valverde - 6/10

Valverde made very little impact after coming on in the 72nd minute. He was taken off before full-time due to what seemed like a minor injury.

Marco Asensio - 6/10

Asensio came on pretty late in the 87th minute. It was the rebound from his shot that was tucked in by Vazquez in added time.

Dani Carvajal - N/A

Carvajal came on to replace Valverde, but didn't play long enough to be rated.
