Fabregas believes Barcelona is the best place for Messi

The Chelsea midfielder spoke to Marca and he endorsed Lionel Messi staying at Camp Nou by saying:

"It's him the one who has to answer this question. I have always said that there is no better home for Leo than Barcelona."

Cesc Fabregas definitely knows a thing or two about playing in the Catalan colours as well as playing with Messi due to his time at the Spanish club. Further, he opened up about his relationship with the Barcelona no.10:

"I have a great friendship with him. I see him as a friend, like a normal boy. I'm amazed with what he does. I've had the luck and pride to play with him when we were kids. When I am with him, he is like one more, like a friend. He is normal, very familiar."

Meanwhile, the wait goes on for Messi to sign his new contract which was reportedly agreed during the summer.

Denis Suarez rejected two offers in the summer

The former Manchester City midfielder had a mixed start to his Barcelona career but Neymar's departure opened up an opportunity to finally make the grade at the Spanish club. Denis elaborated to Marca:

"Perhaps so far this season it has (been better than last season) - I have started games and have been important. I can't stop there, I have to fight for more game time and more starts."

The 23-year old received two offers by his own admission and went on to express his desire to stay at Camp Nou by saying:

"I never thought about leaving and although it is true that I had two offers, I did not consider either. I didn't want to move from here, I know that I have the confidence of the coaching staff, of the players, and I believe I'll get opportunities and hope to make the most of them. My goal is to be important here and I will not stop fighting until I achieve that."

Southampton interested to sign Alcacer

Alcacer is looking for a way out of the club

As per TalkSPORT, English side Southampton are interested to sign Paco Alcacer in January. The 24-year old has endured a frustrating time at Barcelona and things have not changed under Ernesto Valverde either, with Alcacer missing out from the Champions League squad travelling to Portugal tonight.

Thus, the ex-Valencia forward is looking for an exit, especially with the World Cup on the horizon and Premier League clubs, especially Southampton and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested to pick him up.

Southampton have scored only four league goals so far this season while Crystal Palace are at the bottom of the Premier League table. Thus, both clubs are looking for a goalscorer and Alcacer could fit the bill.

Moreover, Barcelona and Valverde will be willing to end the association as well given the transfer did not work out to anyone's benefit.
