Arguably the greatest player of our generation, if not all-time, Lionel Messi has been Barcelona’s talisman for more than a decade. The Argentine international has scored 552 goals in 638 appearances for the Catalan giants. He is the most honored player in Barcelona history with 33 titles. Though £500,000 per week seems a monumental salary for a footballer, Messi deserves every bit of it.
