Another Bayern Munich player who terrified Barcelona all night was Alphonso Davies, whose electric sprints were on full display.

Davies drove forward with tremendous energy, poise and purpose, while also creating a beautiful assist for Musiala's goal.

Not only that, the Canadian ace frustrated the visitors in defense too, impeding their attacking play with three clearances and five tackles. Davies is the kind of pacy, dynamic defender Barcelona seem to be missing so dearly.

Flop: Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona)

Pique isn't the only Barcelona player to have declined in recent years and Marc-Andre ter Stegen is proof of that claim. Ter Stegen's stock has significantly fallen this season and had another stinker in goal at the Allianz Arena.

A sloppy pass early on right at the feet of Lewandowski was bailed out by Sergio Busquets, who held the Polish star off rather aggressively and went into the books. His inability to keep out Sane's strike was worse. Sure, it was powerfully struck, but it was well within Ter Stegen's range and the shot wasn't too high up either.

Yet the German custodian failed to even get a hand to it. Ter Stegen rose to fame with some fantastic saves on this ground back in 2015, but last night's match could be the beginning of the end for him at Barcelona.

Hit: Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich)

Kingley Coman took Barcelona to the cleaners to help Bayern Munich to a comfortable win.
Kingley Coman took Barcelona to the cleaners to help Bayern Munich to a comfortable win.

Kingsley Coman put up a top-notch display, hounding Barcelona for the ball like a terrier, while causing all sorts of problems with his movements. Coman won 10 ground duels and completed seven dribble attempts while also creating a game-high four chances.

One of them was an assist for Sane with a simple square pass to the star after Coman found him in acres of space. It was the third consecutive European match he's made a goal-contribution in, suggesting his growing influence in the side following a slow start.
