Bayern Munch comfortably saw off Nurnberg 2-0 in the Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena. Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben scored a goal each in a match where Mario Gotze made his debut for the Bavarians.

Franck Ribery caused much of the trouble in the early minutes of the game while the closest Nurnberg could come was a 25-yard-strike from Daniel Ginczek which beat the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to get deflected of the crossbar.

A penalty was awarded to Bayern after Robben was brought down near the byeline in the 33rd minute. It was a harsh call from the referee, however justice was done as the fullback David Alaba was saved by Raphael Schafer. The first half came to an end with Bayern having nothing to show for their efforts.

Schafer was instrumental in denying Bayern but he cannot keep it up for so long as Ribery, capitalizing on an inch perfect cross from Lahm, put one past the Nurnberg goalkeeper in the 69th minute. Arjen Robben, assisted by Philipp Lahm again, doubled the lead 9 minutes later to avoid any hopes of last minute comeback from Nurnberg.

As the game progressed, the Bavarians completely controlled the game, dominating the possession with an almost improbable 81% and 26 attempts on goal.
