Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is the 'world's best coach', says former rival and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Klopp and Guardiola could face each other again in the Premier League

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed former rival Pep Guardiola as the world’s best coach and believes that his arrival to the Premier League can improve the quality of all the other teams in the league.

Guardiola has announced that he will step down as Bayern Munich manager in the summer and a move to the English top-flight is very likely with interest from Manchester City, United and Chelsea.

Guardiola’s arrival will make it hard for the other teams : Klopp

Klopp faced Guardiola several times during his time as Borussia Dortmund manager and knows how the Spaniard works towards success. He is also aware of the challenge that he and the other managers could face if Guardiola joins a Premier League rival. Guardiola will also be looking forward to prove his worth in the most challenging league in Europe after successful stints in Spain and Germany.

“If this rumour is as well-tuned as all the other transfer rumours in England then Pep will go somewhere else completely,” Klopp joked with Bild. “But if it really happens, then in comes perhaps the best coach in the world.”

“That would make it that bit harder for all the other teams in the Premier League,” he added.

Klopp relishing his role at Liverpool

Klopp has made a promising start to his stint as Liverpool manager and is already regarded as a man who can lead Liverpool back to their glory days by the supporters of the club. The German has already established a firm relationship with his players and fans alike and the recent win over high-flying Leicester City added more joy to his life in England so far.

Ahead of their trip to struggling Sunderland on Wednesday, Klopp said: "We have had very, very great moments and games, but also a few less good results. But this is, for anyone who thinks a bit, completely normal. So far everything is completely fine.”

“Clearly, things still might be a bit better but it could have been a lot worse. One thing is certain: Liverpool is a really cool club and it's great fun to work here.”

Liverpool have had a roller coaster season with inconsistency looming but the fans are happy with all the changes Klopp has brought to the club and are looking forward to their future under the master tactician.
