Robert Lewandowski could be on his way out and the end of the season

According to a German newspaper Speigel Bayern, Bayern Munich have made an offer of £21.2m for Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski who made headlines across Europe after scoring all four goals as Dortmund stunned Real Madrid with a 4-1 win in the first leg of Champions League semi-final in Germany.

The Bavarian giants, who announced the sensational £31.6m capture of Dortmund’s 20-year-old midfielder Mario Goetze on Tuesday, have reportedly made the verbal offer shortly before BVB’s victory against Mainz on Saturday. They have reportedly delivered the offer to Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc and a deadline of 15th May has been set for Dortmund to respond.

Robert Lewandowski’s agent Maik Barthel, meanwhile, has told Bild: “We have agreed terms with one club, and we plan to move this summer.”

He added: “There is a very interesting offer for Robert which fulfils entirely the demands set by Dortmund and also the demands of Robert. Dortmund have assured us that Robert can move at the end of the season under these conditions. We stick to agreements and now it’s up to the clubs to sort things out.”

However, Barthel has refused to confirm whether the offer came from the Allianz Arena club. The 24-year-old Polish striker has had a brilliant season so far with 33 goals in 36 appearances this season, including 10 goals in 10 appearances in the Champions League.
