Besiktas president reveals "talks" with Chelsea over transfer, refuses to reveal player's name

Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah has barely got minutes on the pitch for Chelsea this season

One player who has been consistently linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge is Mohamed Salah. Despite Jose Mourinho stating that no one was to come in or leave Chelsea during the window, these reports remain and have intensified in recent days after quotes made by Besiktas.

Speaking to Turkish Radio, the President of Besiktas Fikret Orman revealed that he had spent some time recently in England with Chelsea.

He said: “I was in England and held talks with Chelsea but it would be wrong to disclose who the negotiations were regarding.

“The talks are ongoing, if I was to tell you who the transfer was regarding it could make the move more difficult.”

You would have to imagine that it would be for Salah who you feel needs to move on now because he isn't doing enough to force himself into the managers plans either in training (because he isn't being selected to start many games) or when he does feature in the first team.

I have seen plenty of contradictory reports last week stating that Salah could even stay at Chelsea for the remainder of the season but surely these quotes coming from Turkey would indicate that Chelsea would be willing to do business to let the Egyptian leave his nightmare in London.

Let's just see what happens.
