Casemiro celebrates after giving Manchester United the lead against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Casemiro's acrobatic effort helped Manchester United register a scrappy 1-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday (May 20). The result leaves the team needing just one point from their last two games to secure UEFA Champions League qualification.

With Liverpool drawing 1-1 at home to Fulham, the Red Devils need to take one point against Chelsea on Thursday (May 25) or Fulham on May 28 to finish in the top four.

While Erik ten Hag's side were far from impressive against Bournemouth, they did enough to take home all three points. The win sees them move to fourth place, with 69 points, in the standings and are behind Newcastle United on goal difference.

On that note, here are the player ratings for Manchester United:

David de Gea - 7/10

While De Gea's first kick went straight to an opponent, he recovered from it and had a comfortable outing. He made good saves to deny Dominic Solanke and David Brooks. It was a good evening for the Spaniard, who also won the Premier League Golden Glove award for the season on the day.

Anthony Wan-Bissaka - 7/10

Wan-Bissaka was sharp at both ends of the field. He was defensively spot-on and did not put a foot wrong. His end product on the attacking side was also good, which is an improvement on his recent performances.

Raphael Varane - 8/10

Varane returned from injury and slotted into the XI seamlessly. The Frenchman did well to organise his backline and keep Bournemouth attackers at bay.

Victor Lindelof - 8/10

Lindelof was quite solid against Bournemouth. He started the move that led to Casemiro's goal, which sealed all three points for Manchester United. He has helped his team to another clean sheet in his ninth straight start.

Luke Shaw - 7/10

Shaw had Manchester United fans worried when he withdrew from the pre-match warm-up early. However, he recovered in time to take part in the contest. The Englishman performed well and offered his team an outlet with his overlapping runs.

Casemiro - 9/10

Defensive midfielder Casemiro executed a finish many attackers will be proud of. After giving Manchester United an early lead with an acrobatic volley, he battled hard in midfield to ensure that his team took home all three points.

Christian Eriksen - 7/10

Eriksen was tidy in possession and did his best to help in offence. It was his lovely dinked ball over the Bournemouth defence that led to Casemiro's goal.

Antony - 5/10

Antony had a tough time against Lloyd Kelly and didn't look like he was up for the physical battle. While he looked confident in possession, his creativity deserted him for the most part.

Bruno Fernandes - 5/10

It was a surprisingly quiet day for Fernandes. He didn't offer enough on the ball and also played some uncharacteristic loose passes that broke Manchester United's rhythm. He saw a volley well stopped by Neto, though.

Jadon Sancho - 5/10

Sancho's intent was evident to see, but he found it difficult to convert it into anything useful. He was sharp on and off the ball, had a few confident touches and looked physically sharp. Nevertheless, he couldn't execute his ideas and was taken off midway through the second half.

Anthony Martial - 5/10

Martial was rarely involved in Manchester United's gameplay as he struggled to lead the line. He had some decent link-up play but did not contribute much to the game. The Frenchman was unsurprisingly the first player to be substituted.

Manchester United substitutes' ratings against Bournemouth

Wout Weghorst (57' for Anthony Martial) - 5/10

Weghorst looked like an improvement on Martial, which wasn't a difficult task. He improved the team's play and also saw a shot stopped by Neto but is yet to open his Premier League account for the club.

Alejandro Garnacho (72' for Jadon Sancho) - 6/10

Garnacho looked like an improvement on Sancho, which, again, isn't saying much. The youngster looked lively and did his best to get involved in attack.

Scott McTominay (86' for Christian Eriksen) - NA/10

McTominay came on as a late substitute with United looking to protect their lead.

Fred (86' for Antony) - NA/10

Like McTominay, Fred was brought on to solidify the midfield and ensure the team took all three points.
