#3 Yves Bissouma is the real deal

Yves Bissouma put in an all-action display against Arsenal and was comfortably Brighton's best player on the pitch. The Malian midfielder showed great strength and composure in midfield for Brighton and put in a tireless shift for the South Coast team. He helped Brighton win the midfield battle against Arsenal's double pivot of Xhaka and Elneny.

Bissouma's future looks set to be away from Brighton, especially if the club continue their terrible run of form. Real Madrid and Manchester United are said to be interested in acquiring the midfielder's service, although Brighton boss Graham Potter denied any approach for the midfielder.

#4 Alexandre Lacazette has found his shooting boots

While his partner-in-crime may be faltering, Alexandre Lacazette seems to have finally found his form again. The French striker went two months without scoring a goal earlier in the season but has now scored in three consecutive games in all competitions.

This could not have come at a better time for Mikel Arteta, as the Gunners have struggled in front of goal this season. Lacazette is now Arsenal's top scorer with five goals in the Premier League and the Frenchman looks like he's brimming with confidence.

The striker was the difference-maker on the night, as he scored just 21 seconds after coming on as a substitute. Lacazette's first touch of the ball was to set himself up to fire the ball into the bottom corner for a true striker's finish.

Mikel Arteta will hope that Aubameyang can soon follow suit and start banging in the goals for his team as well.

#5 Time for Arsenal to push on

It's not all doom-and-gloom for Arsenal anymore as Mikel Arteta's side are slowly climbing back up the table. Victory against Brighton took the Gunners to 13th in Premier League, only six points off Aston Villa in fifth place.

Arsenal's fixtures in January also seem a lot easier than what they faced in December, and this is the perfect opportunity for Arteta's men to make up for lost ground in the Premier League.

With the January transfer window opening soon, Arsenal should strengthen in the areas they currently lack, so that they can push on and potentially challenge for a spot in the top four. Arteta is said to be looking for a creative midfielder in January to help with his side's scoring troubles.
