The Bundesliga Hinrunde has been all about attacking superiority and while there have been a lot of players who have performed well so far this season, only a few have managed to make it in our top five list of best attackers in the Bundesliga Hinrunde 2017.

#5 Christian Pulisic - Borussia Dortmund

Christian Pulisic has been the only real spark in a Borussia Dortmund attack, crammed with injuries and mediocrity this season.

Following the departure of star player Ousmane Dembele to FC Barcelona, the onus was on the American wunderkind to emerge as the focal point of the Dortmund attack and didn't he live up to the billing!

Although Pulisic might not have been as effective nor as good as the current Barcelona youngster, the 19-year-old has been remarkable at times this season.

The native of Hershey, Pensylvania has been involved in just four Bundesliga goals but his overall contribution has been pivotal in Dortmund's attack, which has outscored the mighty Bayern so far this season.

He'll surely remain a key figure in the Dortmund team despite the return of star players such as Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Gonzalo Castro in the second half of the season.

#4 Lars Stindl - Borussia Monchengladbach

Gladbach's attacker in chief, Lars Stindl has been a revelation for the club in the past few seasons.

Under Dieter Hecking this season, the former Hannover midfielder has been transformed into one of club's main attacking outlets, who has been involved in six goals for the Foals in the Bundesliga Hinrunde.

Stindl's presence in the attacking third is crucial to Dieter Hecking's quick-fire Gladbach side. His versatility coupled with his cleverness and aggression helps his team gain an advantage in the attacking third. Furthermore, he also has an eye for goal, which is clearly reflected in his tally of four goals this season.

Lars Stindl is definitely one of the key players for Borussia Monchengladbach and the 29-year-old will no doubt make a strong push for being included in Germany's World Cup squad next year.

#3 Mark Uth - TSG Hoffenheim

Mark Uth could leave Hoffenheim soon

Mark Uth has probably been the most impactful player in the first half of the season. Formerly known for his ability to make an impact from the bench, the Hoffenheim striker has successfully integrated himself as a first-team starter for Julian Nagelsmann's side this season.

His tally of nine goals in 16 matches, has somewhat overshadowed the absence of star striker Sandro Wagner this season, who has suffered from injury this term and is already on his way to FC Bayern in January.

Uth's devastating goal-scoring record accuracy has played a huge role in Hoffenheim's decent run this season and the 26-year-old could be another player to watch out for in the Bundesliga Ruckrunde.

However, with his current contract with the club expiring at the end of this season, Uth has been highly linked with a move away from the Rhein-Neckar Arena with Schalke leading the chase for the services of the 26-year-old Hoffenheim striker.

#2 Alfred Finnbogason

Alfred Finnbogasson has been the most improved Bundesliga striker this season. Following his troubles last season, regarding his lack of goals, the Icelandic forward has chipped in with an astonishing 11 goals in just 16 matches.

He has been by far the most influential player behind Augsburg's impressive run this campaign, where the Bavarians are sitting pretty at the top end of the Bundesliga charts.

His stunning goal-scoring record has been only bettered by Robert Lewandowski and Aubameyang, both of which have been the perennial top dogs in Bundesliga goal-scoring charts for quite some time now.

Although his impressive charts this season is largely down to Augsburg's greatly improved chance creation, the Iceland International still deserves credit for latching onto those chances expertly throughout the Bundesliga Hinrunde this season.

#1 Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Munich

Perhaps needless to say, Robert Lewandowski has been the best striker in the Bundesliga this season and perhaps the best in Europe too (not counting as Messi as 'striker') with his sensational goal-scoring tally.

The Polish International has been the forefront of the Bayern Munich attack for quite some time now but the 29-year-old performed in a completely different level this season.

In fact, his astonishing tally of 21 goals in just 26 games all competitions is not enough to suggest just how good he has been this season. Apart from leading the Bundesliga goalscoring charts with 17 goals, the former Borussia Dortmund striker has always emerged as a very good offensive outlet for his team, even in the worst of times.

There is no doubt that the 29-year-old is currently one of world's top five strikers at the moment and could potentially make a huge impact in the upcoming FIFA World Cup next year.
