Online gambling giant Bwin has entered into a three year digital sponsorship with Italian side Juventus. But it’s not clear what the deal is worth. Bwin, who have been replaced by Dubai-based airline Emirates as the main sponsor of the Spanish club Real Madrid also has digital linkups with several top clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Juventus is the most successful club in Italy and Bwin is hoping that the deal will help them regain lost territories. The company reportedly had a below par second quarter revenue and is trying to gain to gain a bigger share of the market.
The Turin based club, however was demoted to the second division in 2006 and stripped of two league titles for its alleged involvement in match-fixing but made an emphatic return to the top division and has won the Serie A for two consecutive years.
