The Black and Yellow are on a hot run as they are running undefeated in the Bundesliga, Under the captaincy of the German Marco Reus, Dortmund have secured their place on top of the table with a lead of nine points over Bayern Munich. Lucian Favre has them performing at the best of their careers, and there are high chances that Borussia Dortmund can clinch the Bundesliga title this year – ending Bayern’s six-year streak.

Dortmund have already scored 39 goals this season, and seem to be unstoppable while attacking. Marco Reus looks in the best form of his life, scoring nine goals and making seven vital assists. The forward has always been a spearhead of the Dortmund and with senior players such as Sahin, Sokratis, Aubameyang and Weidenfeller now no longer in the squad, the 29-year-old German is the undisputed leader of the squad. He has played 952 minutes this season for the team which is longer than any other at Favre’s side.

Axil Witsel, Paco Alcacer, and Jodan Sancho are also in sublime form and are playing with sky-high confidence. Christian Pulisic and Jacob B Larsen have also been showing glimpses of their incredible talent. The bench strength of Dortmund has been great if compared with the last five years. The Black and Yellows have the likes of Mahmoud Dahoud, Maximillian Phillip, Marius Wolf, Mario Götze, Shinji Kagawa and Achraf Hakimi in their bench which has been another reason for their success.

The Dortmund side is full of youth, who are playing without any sense of fear for a single dream, Glory! Sounds quite familiar, doesn’t it. These qualities match with Jurgen Klopp’s all-conquering Dortmund side of 2011. The new signings of Abdou Diallo, Thomas Delaney, Axel Witsel and Marius Wolf has brought in a boost to the side and having two quality players in the form of Achraf Hakimi and Paco Alcacer on loan from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, Dortmund has strengthened their team.

The Swiss tactical magician, Lucian Favre has done wonders with the Dortmund side. Favre has gained love from the Black and Yellow fans with his attacking approach to every game, and the 4-2-3-1 formation has done wonders for the team. The player rotation policy has kept all players in content, and the Dortmund subs have scored twenty goals in all competitions which is much higher than any other side in the top five leagues.

Can the all new and young squad of Borussia Dortmund finally bring the Bundesliga trophy back to Iduna Park after a long six-year wait? This will be an interesting thing to keep an eye on as the Black and Yellow have brewed up a storm in the league claiming their opponents one by one. If Favre’s side continues its magical run, they could even be the dark horses in the UEFA Champions League with such a brilliant attacking form of play
