Former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has slyly hit out at Los Blancos president Florentino Perez in an interview with L’Equipe. A few days ago, Ancelotti threw light on the difference between the 2 clubs, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, stating that the difference between his current club and former was that while Real Madrid felt like it was a business, Bayern feels more like a close knit family.
L’Equipe decided to press on about the matter a bit more and when asked about more specific differences between the 2 football clubs, Ancelotti fired back saying, “ They are quite similar as clubs, but perhaps the difference between them is that one is directed by an ex-footballer and he understands what happens better.
“In Madrid, there is a lot of external pressures - TV, radio, newspapers - which means in Germany there is a different feeling at the club."

Ancelotti had earlier spoken positively about Perez following his sacking from the club, “When I came to Madrid I knew that one day I’d have to leave,” he said. “For a coach, the experience of managing Madrid is unique, and for that, I have to give thanks to Florentino.
“He signed me and we won La Décima. I learned some time ago that being let go is part of the job. I have good memories of Madrid, from the president down to the people who worked there,” he went on to add.
Ancelotti joined Bayern this season, replacing Pep Guardiola who decided to take up the reigns at Manchester City. Ancelotti was a fan favourite at Real Madrid having had immense success during his tenure at the club. The 57-year-old led Madrid to 4 trophies including the 2013/14 Champions League in 3 years but was sacked by Perez following which the president received severe criticism from the fans.
Ancelotti was out of work for two seasons ever since his Madrid departure and took the time off to relax and freshen up his mind. "I still saw so much football on television. I was in Canada, I went fishing, running. It was a good time to rest,” he said.
The Italian also feels that current Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is his ideal replacement and was full of praise for the Frenchman. "He has a lot of charisma and the players respect him. I saw it when he was my assistant and I think that's the key. The players had problems with [Rafael] Benitez and when Zizou came in everything changed. The players are all fully behind him."
