Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has made a bold claim after their FA Cup triumph against Watford on Saturday in Wembley. The Spanish tactician has claimed that winning the domestic treble in England is far more difficult than winning the UEFA Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s men beat Watford 6-0 in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday and completed a domestic treble of Premier League, League Cup, and FA Cup.
Manchester City has played some breathtaking football during the course of the season and earned as many as 98 points in the Premier League to win back to back titles for the first time in the last ten years. Guardiola has managed to pick up a whopping amount of 198 points in the last two seasons in the Premier League.
However, the only blip in this campaign for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola came in the Champions League, where they were knocked out in the quarterfinals by Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur in dramatic fashion.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has once again failed on the European stage, since his last Champions League triumph with Barcelona in the 2010-11 season.
The heart of the matter…
After their sensational victory at Wembley on Saturday night, Guardiola answered how difficult it was to win all three major honours in England. As quoted by MARCA:
“I love the Champions League, but to [win the domestic treble] is more difficult than to win the Champions League,"
When asked about whether it was the best season he has experienced in his managerial career, he was optimistic in his reply:
"It's one of the best seasons I have experienced as a manager."
"I wouldn't say the best, but one of the best for sure,” Guardiola added.
