Manchester United Player Ratings

David de Gea - 6.5/10

The Manchester United goalkeeper was shaky in the first half, needlessly giving away passes. However, David de Gea grew into the game as it wore on and did very well to earn his side a draw against Chelsea.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 5/10

The Manchester United full-back ran up and down his flank but had no noteworthy impact. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was uncharacteristically absent defensively and had no tackle all game against Chelsea.

Victor Lindelof - 6/10

The Manchester United defender kept play ticking to the best of his ability. Victor Lindelof was also solid in the air on occasion.

Harry Maguire - 6/10

Harry Maguire confidently drove forward with the ball as he tried to advance Manchester United's forward play. He was very solid defensively, as he made the most clearances and won the most duels against Chelsea.

Luke Shaw - 6/10

Luke Shaw was the most exciting Manchester United player on the pitch. His rise in form continued against Chelsea, as Shaw carried the ball up his flank and created a team-high three chances.

Scott McTominay - 4.5/10

The Scot was declared unfit prior to the Chelsea game and was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI for Manchester United. His lack of form was very evident, as he was sloppy in possession, giving away simple passes and ending potential counterattacks for his side with failed dribble attempts.

Fred - 6/10

Fred's tenacity in midfield was probably the saving grace for Manchester United, as his partners in midfield were wasteful in possession. However, he did not stop running around trying to win the ball back even after bagging a yellow card.

Bruno Fernandes - 5/10

It was an evening to forget for the Manchester United talisman, as Bruno Fernandes was frustrated by an energetic and diligent Chelsea midfield. He lost possession the most times for Manchester United as well.

Daniel James - 4/10

The winger looked lost for most of the game at Chelsea and was by far the worst player on the pitch. Daniel James ran himself into traffic and failed to complete easy passes, as he was bullied far too easily off the ball.

Marcus Rashford - 5/10

Marcus Rashford looked lively enough in the first half and played with high energy. However, his intensity dropped in the second.

Mason Greenwood - 5.5/10

Mason Greenwood was the liveliest player in the Manchester United attack. The youngster linked play well up front and was unfortunate not to score, as his shot from outside the Chelsea area curled tantalisingly wide of the far post. He was substituted off in the 79th minute, though.

Player ratings for Manchester United Substitutes

Anthony Martial - 5/10

The only substitute for the away team, Anthony Martial came on late and did virtually nothing.
