Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings

Tottenham Hotspur didn't create too many chances against Chelsea.
Tottenham Hotspur didn't create too many chances against Chelsea.

Hugo Lloris - 7/10

Hugo Lloris, the busier of the two goalkeepers on the night, was impressive against Chelsea. He made three saves in all, including a fabulous diving one to deny Mount and another in stoppage-time to keep out his international teammate Giroud. It was a well-deserved clean sheet for the Tottenham Hotspur captain.

Serge Aurier - 7/10

Serge Aurier was superb at both ends of the pitch, testing Mendy with a venomous shot in the 15th minute while also driving forward to get involved offensively.

Joe Rodon - 7/10

Joe Rodon's first start for Tottenham was impressive, as he held court against the likes of Abraham and Werner. However, he did get away with a mistake towards the end of the game when his poor backpass almost led to Giroud scoring the winner for Chelsea.

Eric Dier - 7/10

Eric Dier looked nervy at times but produced a solid performance. He made three clearances and won two defensive duels in the game.

Sergio Reguilon - 6/10

Former Real Madrid man Sergio Reguilon was key for Tottenham Hotspur on the break. However, he also made sure that he tracked back when his side weren't in possession.

Moussa Sissoko - 6/10

Moussa Sissoko was brilliant in dealing with Werner, but otherwise, there was nothing to write home about his performance against Chelsea.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - 6/10

Danish midfielder Pierre=Emile Hojbjerg was composed in possession and disciplined without the ball too.

Son Heung-Min - 6/10

Son Heung-Min ran a lot but couldn't really exert his influence in the match. He even failed to muster a single shot on target.

Tanguy Ndombele - 7/10

Tanguy Ndombele got the better of Kante on several occasions in the first half, and Tottenham Hotspur visibly looked worse after he was hooked off.

Steven Bergwijn - 6/10

Steven Bergwijn made some decent runs forward in the opening stanza and almost put Tottenham Hotspur in front with a curling effort early on. However, other than that, he had almost no impact in the game.

Harry Kane - 5/10

Harry Kane wasn't a huge threat against Chelsea, mainly because he dropped back to help his side defend.
