Leicester City’s defensive masterclass was highlighted by French defender Wesley Fofana, who put in a great performance against Chelsea. He made six interceptions, five clearances and two tackles while blocking four shots to help his side hold on to their slender lead.

The 20-year-old has been one of the standout performers for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season. Considering he was signed from Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne for just €35m, he has been an excellent piece of business for the club.

At age 20, he still has the bulk of his career ahead of him and enough time to grow into one of the best centre-backs across Europe.

Leicester City have finally ended their trophy drought in the FA Cup thanks to Youri Tielemans' 63rd minute strike.

The Foxes had previously made it to the final of the competition on four different occasions. However, they failed to claim the title in each attempt.

Their last finals defeat came back in 1969, when they lost to Manchester City at Wembley.

It was fifth time lucky for Brendan Rodgers' side after they finally got their hands on the elusive FA Cup silverware. Leicester City also ended their dire run of 10 straight defeats to Chelsea in the competition.

This is also Brendan Rodgers' first major title win since moving into the English top flight.

With another crunch game against Leicester City coming up on Tuesday, Chelsea will aim to shake off the disappointment and return to winning ways.

Separated by one place and four points in the league standings, both sides are in a heated race for a top-four finish.

Chelsea also have the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City coming up in nine days. These are two key games that will undoubtedly determine the Blues season.

Defeat in those two games could see the Blues go trophyless and finish outside the top-four places for the first time in as many years.

However, they will be boosted by the return of star midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who has been on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
