Leicester City Player Ratings

Kasper Schmeichel — 9/10

The Foxes' keeper donned the armband on the pitch and put in a true captain's display. Made two inspiring saves late on into the game to keep his side in the game.

Timothy Castagne — 7.5/10

Played at wing-back and centre-back due to his side's injuries but still managed to deliver for his side. Played well in both positions and put in a good shift.

Wesley Fofana — 8.5/10

The Frenchman has had a brilliant debut campaign and was one of Leicester's best players on the evening. Barring a couple of wayward passes, Fofana didn't put a foot wrong and was arguably their best defender against Chelsea. Ended with five clearances, four blocks, six interceptions, and two tackles.

Jonny Evans — 6/10

The veteran did well in the opening exchanges of the game but had to be subbed off in the first half due to injury.

Caglar Soyuncu — 8/10

Much like Fofana, Soyuncu put in a warrior's display at the back to keep Chelsea's attackers at bay. Was also a threat in the opposition box with a couple of noteworthy headed chances. Ended with six clearances, four interceptions, three tackles, and won 12 of his 18 duels, including eight (!) duels in the air.

Luke Thomas — 7.5/10

The rookie defender continued his fine form with another steady display down the left-hand side. Got the better of Azpilicueta and bombed forward regularly. Set up Tielemans' winner with a well-weighted ball.

Wilfred Ndidi — 8/10

Superb showing from Leicester's colossus in the middle of the park. Made more tackles than any player on the pitch (seven) and won eight of his 12 duels. Completely dominated Jorginho and had a great outing overall.

Youri Tielemans — 9/10

Leicester City's match-winner was absolutely incredible in every facet. Created more chances than any of his teammates (two, joint-highest with Thomas), was a massive threat with the ball at his feet and put in a great defensive shift.

His goal was one worthy of deciding a game as big as this. Scored a goal of dreams to help the Foxes create history in style.

Ayoze Perez — 6/10

While most of his teammates had memorable displays on the evening, it wasn't the case for the Spaniard as he had a relatively quiet outing. Was crucial in winning the ball back which led to the winner.

Kelechi Iheanacho — 6/10

The striker in red-hot form was kept quiet by Rudiger and didn't have much of an impact against Chelsea.

Jamie Vardy — 6.5/10

Failed to find the back of the net but was important in helping Leicester stretch Chelsea with his pace. Made a few darting runs in behind, but not much else of note.

Marc Albrighton (34', Jonny Evans) — 5.5/10

Came on for the injured Evans and did relatively well down the right-hand side, and although he took up good positions, he failed to cause any real issues for Chelsea.

James Madisson (67', Iheanacho) — 5/10

The midfielder came on after Leicester scored and barely had a touch of the ball, attempting just three passes in his 23-minute stay. Nearly non-existent on the pitch. However, it was of little consequence as he ended up on the winning side.

Wes Morgan (82', Thomas) — N/A

The club captain was brought on with a few minutes to go and had four touches, three of which were clearances. Conceded a late own goal which was ruled out by VAR.

Hamza Choudhary (82', Perez) — N/A
