Chelsea's adopted "one in, one out" policy will serve them well this season.

Chelsea Cuadrado

Plenty of people have questioned Chelsea's lack of transfer activity so far compared to our rivals. I personally believe that the one in, one out policy the club has adopted this summer will serve us well ahead of the new season.

Having led the Premier League from day one to the end of the season, Chelsea re-wrote the record books to become the most dominant team in the history of the Premier League in a single season. Therefore, you would have to imagine that Jose Mourinho would not need much this summer.

As with any close season until the transfer window closes, there is always talk of players coming and going and that will remain a constant. All sorts of players have and will be linked with Chelsea but as we have seen in recent seasons, Chelsea have prepared themselves to replace the holes in their squad when someone is sold.

Petr Cech left the club and has been replaced by Asmir Begovic and Didier Drogba has left after his contract expired to be replaced by Radamel Falcao albeit for a year on loan (for the time being).

Now, in the past 24 hours there is talk that Chelsea have set their asking price for Juan Cuadrado to which Juventus have made their move and to replace the departing Colombian? Pedro Rodriguez of Barcelona!

A stronger squad.

If you look at the three players who have left the club and their replacements you have to agree that as they did last summer, Chelsea have recruited well (or will be in the case of Pedro) making the squad even stronger without being disrespectful for Petr Cech or Didier Drogba.

In Attack

Radamel Falcao Chelsea

Didier Drogba is towards the end of his playing career and being honest, isn't the same influential player he used to be. We will always love him for what he did for our football club and what he personally achieved but it's a simple fact.

Replace him with a player who after injury ruled him out of the World Cup last summer, moved to Manchester United needing a run of games to get his match fitness and sharpness back, only to find himself rotated in and out of the side. We all saw what happened as a result.

Falcao is hungry to rediscover his form and to rebuild a reputation he would feel has been slightly tarnished with his trip up North!. Having taken a 50% pay cut to sign for Chelsea indicates to me that he will work his bollocks off to do exactly that which puts our squad in a stronger position this season.

The Goalkeepers

Cech Arsenal

Some people may disagree with me here but I believe we have managed to maintain our strength in this position with the change we have made.

I am a massive Petr Cech fan but again we have to be honest, there is a reason why Jose decided to install Thibaut Courtois as our number one last season and I don't believe that many of you would argue with that decision now.

As with Drogba, no one will ever forget what Petr Cech did for our club and for his heroics in the Champions League Final in Munich.

Asmir Begovic has come into the club, considerably younger than Cech with vast Premier League experience and at 6ft 6in he is a welcome addition to the squad. I believe we remain strong with him as the backup this term.

On the Wings

Pedro Barcelona

So to the whole situation with Juan Cuadrado. All of us have been disappointed with the effect he has had so far and there is no point trying to sugar coat it is there!

I am sure he works hard and wants to do well but he has failed to adapt to life in the Premier League and has struggled to get to grips with the pace and power of our game and it seems (according to reports) that Chelsea will sell for the same monies paid for him back in January.

So Pedro to replace him? What a signing that would be and I think you all would agree that he would strengthen that area of the pitch considerably.

Ability, Goals, Hard Work and Pace - Pedro really would be a fantastic signing!

Conclusion.

Football is all about opinion and I have had mine here. I really feel that once again, Chelsea transfer business could see Jose Mourinho strengthen and already strong squad to challenge for every single honour again this season.
