Jose Mourinho has decided that Lucas Piazon still needs further conditioning before being given a fair shot at Stamford. The “Special One” and Chelsea thus have sent the Brazilian youngster on loan again for the second successive season.

After spending last season with Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Eredevisie, the highly-rated Brazilian will now spend the coming season at Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga.

This will certainly prove to be a bigger test for the 20-year-old. The German game is more physical and quicker than the game played in the Netherlands. It should also help acclimatise him to the rigours of the Premier League as it’s the closest that any league comes to the sheer pace and power of the game played in England.

The ex-Sao Paolo youth product, often touted by many as the “next Kaka” started 24 Eredivie games for Vitesse last season, scoring 11 goals and assisting 8. However, his end to the season was not one to remember.

His goals dried up at the turn of the year and the resulting lack of confidence saw his form detoriorate. With not a single goal to his name in 2014, Piazon saw himself out of the starting line-up. He started only 2 of Vitesse’s last 10 games of the season.

This move now gives him a new battle field to conquer and the best testing ground for the youngster to impress upon the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge.

Piazon now becomes Chelsea's third Bundesliga loanee of the summer after Tomas Kalas and Thorgan Hazard were sent out loans to Koln and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
