Having started for Manchester United for the first time since May, Alex Telles produced a disciplined performance against Chelsea. Telles has been left dissatisfied with the 1-1 draw but thanked Manchester United fans for their support.

His Instagram post read:

“It was not the result we wanted, but we fought hard until the very end with a great team spirit and effort. Thank you for the support, we're counting on you all for the next home game. 🙏🏻👊🏻❤️💪🏾”

Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic did nothing extraordinary against Chelsea but also did not put a step wrong. His game-reading was on point and saved Manchester United from being caught out.

Seemingly content with the draw, Matic praised the away supporters at Stamford Bridge.

The former Chelsea man wrote:

“Another point on the board.Let’s focus on the next game! Travelling supporters TOP has always 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼”

Eric Bailly

Save for a late slip-up, Eric Bailly produced a solid performance against Chelsea on Sunday night. He commanded the box well and did not allow Timo Werner an inch of space.

Bailly has applauded Manchester United for their mentality and valor on Instagram.

He wrote: “Great mentality against a good side. We gave our all and fought hard. 🔴💪🏾”

Fred

Manchester United midfielder Fred had the golden opportunity to score the winner for his club but failed to keep his nerve. He lost possession 14 times and barely did anything worth noting.

On Instagram, Fred has complimented his side for their relentless efforts. He posted:

“A great football match. Unfortunately we didn't get the victory, but everyone fought till the end! Keep pushing. 🙏🏾”

David de Gea

Manchester United stopper David de Gea made five saves against Chelsea, with four of them coming from inside the box. Yes, he was beaten comprehensively by Jorginho from the penalty spot, but the odds were heavily stacked against him on that occasion.

The Spaniard has applauded Manchester United’s fight against the league leaders. His caption on Instagram read:

“The team fought for everything, we must continue this to achieve our aims 🔴”

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho was one of the brightest players on the pitch for Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. The Englishman scored his first Premier League goal on Sunday, capitalizing on a rare mistake by Jorginho.

Happy with the goal, Sancho posted:

“Tough game against a good opposition, delighted to score my first PL goal. ⚽️ Rest and recover in another important game on Thursday.”

Bruno Fernandes

Filling in for the suspended Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes captained Manchester United against Chelsea on Sunday. The Portuguese failed to demonstrate his passing range and was one of United’s least impressive performers in the 1-1 draw.

On Instagram, Fernandes wrote:

“Disappointed to not get the 3 points after being on the lead, but happy with the effort shown by the team”

Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United caretaker manager Michael Carrick left Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench against Chelsea. The superstar finally came on in the 64th minute but cut a lonely and frustrating figure at the top of the Manchester United attack.

The veteran forward, however, is still hopeful of enjoying a successful campaign with United and has vouched to fight until the end.

He tweeted:

“There is still a long road ahead and nothing is impossible when you play for Man. United. We will keep chasing our goals until the end! 👊🏽”
