What's the news?

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri is determined to solve the Blues' problems and reveals what his team needs to do for turning their fortunes around.

In case you didn't...

Maurizio Sarri's future at the Stamford Bridge is under huge scrutiny after a string of underwhelming results and he reportedly has three games to save his job at the club.

The Blues lost four out of their last eight games in all competitions, worst of which came against Manchester City (6-0) and Bournemouth (4-0). They are currently sixth in the Premier League and might fail to qualify for the Champions League next season if they did not address their problems within the next few games.

The heart of the matter

Speaking to Chelsea TV, Maurizio Sarri reveals that his team is trying to solving their problems.

It’s not easy because we have to play every three days'.
‘We have no time, but we are trying to solve our problems. We are trying to talk with the players, avoiding some mistakes by [watching] videos.
‘I have to think we are able to improve and able to improve immediately. The result is not everything. In the last match, we played better, especially in the first half.

He further added:

‘But we have to solve a big problem because we stayed in the other half for 75 minutes out of 90, and we were not able to score. They played only 15 or 16 balls into our box and they scored two goals.
‘We have to solve this problem. It is probably a problem of aggression, determination in both boxes.’

What's next?

The Blues will play Malmo FF at the Stamford Bridge for the second leg of the Europa League round-of-32 tie next before facing Manchester City for the final of the Football League Cup on February 24.
