Chelsea to run charter trains for fans for all away games from London

Chelsea club reward the loyalty and commitment by discounting ticket rates for away matches

Chelsea fans have good news coming in for them. The club has announced that the Chelsea fans will be able to travel to all the away games of Chelsea from Fulham for £10 this season.

The tickets to three away fixtures also would see the tickets to be subsided by £10.

Earlier last season, the Chelsea club had run charter trains when the team played against Manchester United and Manchester City and also saw the tickets sold at a reduced rate at Atletico Madrid, Cardiff and Sunderland.

Similarly, Stoke city fans were provided with free coach travel to all their away games, while the reds had discounted ticket rates.

Chelsea’s chief executive Ron Gourlay highlighted the role of Chelsea fans in the club winning away matches recently and suggested it was one of the reason behind running such a scheme.

'Our support was among the very best in the country last season, and helped the team achieve some memorable results away from Stamford Bridge,' he said.

'I am delighted that after consultation with the Fans' Forum we are able to reward that loyalty and commitment once more by removing some of the financial burden on our supporters and allowing them to create a special atmosphere for the players all around the country.'

Chelsea is all set to start off their new season in a away series at Burnley on August 18, and the scheme will be kick off by Chelsea running a charter train to Burnley.
