Hello and welcome to the daily Chelsea transfer round-up — your one-shop stop for all the latest Chelsea transfer news and rumours!

Chelsea were touted as one of the major title contenders since the start of the season. However, the Blues are now struggling to keep pace with fellow giants Manchester City and Liverpool, currently placed 4th in the table.

Maurizio Sarri has made no secret of his wishes to sign players in January, which is why Chelsea have been linked with a number of players.

On that note, let's see what the rumour mill has to say about the Blues today.

#1 Chelsea enter race to sign Manchester United target Eder Militao

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have joined the list of parties interested in signing Porto center-back Eder Militao. The Brazilian, who joined Sao Paolo just last summer for £7.2m from Sao Paolo, is also being targeted by Everton, Manchester United and Juventus.

Militao can play as a right-back and a defensive midfielder and has also been capped by Brazil. He is understood to have the same agent as Willian and David Luiz.

The 20-year-old has played 12 games in all competitions this season.

#2 Chelsea boosted in the chase for Mauro Icardi

Real Madrid and Chelsea have been chasing Inter Milan marksman Mauro Icardi. The Argentine is yet to renew his contract at the San Siro.

Apparently, Icardi is not interested in a move to Real Madrid given their lackadaisical season. When asked about a switch to Spain, he said:

"I do not think this is the right time, given the results - and I'm fine where I am,”

Sarri is need of a forward who can fire on all cylinders and views the Argentine as the perfect man for the job. He has scored 9 goals in 12 games for the Nerrazuri this season.

#3 Blues learn the price for Real Madrid playmaker Isco

Real Madrid have told Chelsea that they won't be selling Isco unless and until the Blues trigger the £620m clause in his current contract.

The Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu following the appointment of Santiago Solari as head coach. Chelsea have been linked with the playmaker for quite a while, with Manchester City also said to be interested in the player.

Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda claimed that a move to the Premier League could be on the cards. He said:

"They [Real Madrid] consider that Isco is not involved in the group, that he is doing his thing, that he is having problems with his weight… so he is thinking of going to the Premier League."

“He has an offer from Chelsea and another from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City."

Isco has made 252 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Malaga in 2013.
