What's the story?

In the latest interview with Sky Sports, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has said that EPL superstar Eden Hazard is free to leave if he wants to.

In case you didn't know...

The 28-year-old played a pivotal role for Belgium in the World Cup and was one of the players to dominate the greatest tournament in football. He earned 4 man of the match awards in 6 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists in the process.

Eden Hazard has been the center of attraction in Europe with his sensational performances in the World Cup. The Belgian superstar has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after the World Cup and is yet to renew his contract with his current club.

Eden Hazard managed to carry his sensational form into the Premier League for Chelsea so far. Chelsea are currently in the fifth spot, tied with 4th placed Arsenal with 47 points, after their 4-0 loss against Bournemouth last night. Despite the defeat, there is no doubt about Hazard's impact as he has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in the League so far.

The heart of the matter

Eden Hazard's love for Real Madrid is no secret as he flaunts his admiration for the Los Blancos and spoke about his 'dream' of playing in Spain multiple times before.

In a recent interview, Maurizio Sarri made it clear that the superstar is free to leave Chelsea if he wants. The current Chelsea boss thinks it would be impossible to stop Hazard from moving on if he decides to leave Chelsea.

When asked about Eden Hazard's situation ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash at Bournemouth, Maurizio Sarri said, " The situation of Eden is different. Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go."

"Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here. He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment." Sarri added.

What's next?

After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Real Madrid are desperate for a new superstar and reportedly made Eden Hazard their priority in the summer.

Meanwhile, Hazard continues to flaunt his admiration for Los Blancos and he might leave Chelsea this summer if Real Madrid comes calling. Till then, Eden Hazard will look to lead Chelsea to major silverware - Carabao Cup and Europa League- as the Premier League seems to be out of reach at the moment.
