Today's Chelsea transfer and news roundup is dominated by Chelsea's interest in several strikers across Europe. The Blues are desperate to sign a striker by the end of the January transfer window.

Here is the latest Chelsea news and rumours of the day:

Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi started the English club's game against Tottenham last night, but his recent first-team appearances will not change his mind about leaving the club, as per ESPN.

A source close to ESPN has revealed that the 18-year-old winger is not interested in signing a new contract with Chelsea, which expires in 2020. Recent reports have stated that Chelsea and Bayern Munich have agreed on a £35 million transfer fee.

Bayern Munich Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed the German club's interest in the teenager today, and revealed that the German club want to sign Hudson-Odoi.

"If I have something to announce, I'll do so. What I can say: We like the player and take a great interest in signing him. We'll see about the rest. We must identify those players which can improve us. Callum has unbelievable qualities in the dribbling, he has the pace and skills. We want to sign him," said Salihamidzic.

Bayern Munich announced the signing of World Cup-winning French defender Benjamin Pavard today for a fee of £31.4 million, and the Stuttgart defender will join the German champions in the summer transfer window.

#2 Morata swap for Sevilla's Silva

Alvaro Morata has had a miserable season for Chelsea, and it looks like that will end in the January transfer window as the Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The latest rumour as per The Sun is that Morata will be offered to Sevilla on a loan deal, while Andre Silva, who is currently on loan at the Spanish club from AC Milan, will move to Stamford Bridge.

Silva has had a decent season at Sevilla, scoring 8 goals in 16 appearances in La Liga.

Sevilla's sporting director Joaquin Caparros confirmed his club's interest in Morata but did reveal that it is tough to negotiate with Chelsea: “It is true that we have an interest in this player [Morata], but it is a very, very complicated operation. The player may want to come here over other options, but it is very complicated. Chelsea are a club who are very difficult to negotiate [with].”

ESPN have reported that Morata's agent has arrived in London to have discussions regarding the Spanish striker's move.

#3 Chelsea re-ignite interest in Higuain

Maurizio Sarri seems to be a big fan of his former Napoli player Gonzalo Higuain as the Blues boss has not relented in his pursuit of the Argentine striker.

Marca are reporting that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the former Real Madrid striker, who is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus. The Argentinian has scored 8 goals in 20 appearances for Milan this season, and his nowhere near the form that he was in with Juventus and Napoli in the last few seasons.

Milan could have bought Higuain for €36 million at the end of his loan contract.

Mauro Icardi is another player that is rumoured to be on Chelsea's wishlist, and the latest decision by Inter Milan could maybe sway the Argentine's decision to leave the club.

Icardi and Inter haven't agreed on a new contract, while the Argentine's late return from Argentina caused him to miss a training session which led to him being fined, as per Tuttosport. We reported yesterday about how Icardi was handpicked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to be the Blues' next striker.
