Chelsea welcome Huddersfield Town to Stamford Bridge as they prepare a bid to claim a spot in the top 4 of the Premier League after having suffered two discouraging losses.

The Terriers, who currently don't seem to find a way out of the basement spot in the table, would be happy to take away anything from West London, especially after knowing that they are winless in their last five league games, and have won zero top-flight fixtures against Chelsea.

The last time Chelsea lost to Huddersfield was way back in 1999, and much to their credential, that is the only occasion where they have ended up on the wrong side of the result.

Also to add, the Blues haven't lost three consecutive Premier League games since October 2015. The odds are certainly in their favor, but on a day where the visitors will look to stay tight defensively, the lackluster Chelsea attack will be tasked with carving out openings and playing some free-flowing football, with the right amount of appetite.

Here's your team news and predicted XI.

Team news

Chelsea:

Marcos Alonso could return to the starting XI

Sarri has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, but he could make a host of changes to the side that lost out at the Vitality Stadium. David Luiz had an outing to forget, which means Andreas Christensen could get a chance. The same goes for Emerson Palmieri.

Gonzalo Higuain may or may not start as he needs time to gel into the side, and Olivier Giroud might lead the line. Elsewhere, Sarri will also have to decide between Pedro and Willian, Kovacic and Barkley. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as many reckon, should get a game as well. And Huddersfield at home might be the right time to play him.

Huddersfield:

Aaron Mooy and Philip Billing are expected to return to the starting line-up. New recruit Karian Grant will start on the bench, at least.

Probable line-ups

Chelsea (4-3-3): Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek; Willian, Higuain, Hazard

Huddersfield (4-3-3): Lossl; Smith, Zanka, Schindler, Kongolo; Puncheon, Hogg, Mooy; Kachunga, Mounie, Diakhaby
