3 Chelsea players who can torment Everton on Saturday

Eden Hazard

Chelsea take on Everton at Stamford Bridge with a close encounter expected between two sides fighting for different things at the top end of the Premier League table.

Jose Mourinho’s side sit top going into the weekend’s fixtures and will want to remain there with Manchester City and Arsenal hot on their heels but Everton need a win equally as badly as they look to capture fourth spot from Tottenham Hotspur and city rivals Liverpool.

Being top of the table and at home Chelsea are favourites and here are three of their players that could cause Roberto Martinez a real headache.

The Belgium international has recently been described by Mourinho as the best young player in the world and on his performances this season it is really hard to disagree with the ‘Special One’.

Despite playing well since joining Chelsea from Lille two years ago, this season he has really stepped up to the plate and is beginning to fulfill his potential on a consistent and regular basis.

His Squawka Performance Score of 989 is by far and away the best at Stamford Bridge this season, around 300 better than the score gained by defensive stalwart John Terry.

His Squawka Performance Score is only trumped in the entire Premier League by Luis Suarez who has 1252 and he has the sixth highest Performance Score of any player in Europe’s top five leagues. He is keeping esteemed company for a player still in development.

Twelve goals in 26 league games with a 64% shot accuracy and has five assists from a mammoth 65 key passes made is simply an exceptional return for any player.

Samuel Eto’o

When you look at Eto’o’s form this season overall, on the surface, six goals in 16 Premier League outings is a bit disappointing. But when you boil it down to home matches alone the statistics make for much better reading.

All his league goals for the Blues have come at home, and in just nine outings, meaning at Stamford Bridge Eto’o scores a goal every 135 minutes.

He also has an incredible 74% shot accuracy meaning just a tad under three quarters of the 19 shots he has taken in those games have hit the target.

If this game was at Goodison Park he might have been less of a problem but there is something about Stamford Bridge and the home support that really seems to get Eto’o going.

Willian

When the Brazil international arrived at Chelsea for big money this summer the more paranoid football fans among you might have suggested that Mourinho had only signed him to stop him going to Spurs .

It was easy to see why at the time, he signed for Chelsea on the 25th of August and did not play in the four games following his arrival and in the next four matches he only started once.

However since the Crystal Palace game in December where Chelsea won 2-1 he has been a regular fixture in the starting eleven and very, very impressive.

In the 11 games including and after that Palace match Willian has a 84% pass completion and has made nearly three key passes per match. He wins 58% of take ons and also 58% of tackles.
