#17 Mason Mount – £88,462 per week

Despite coming under criticism from a handful of fans who believe Frank Lampard unfairly favors him, Mason Mount is now a well-established first-team regular at Chelsea. The 21-year-old has been deployed in numerous positions and has already scored his first goal in the 2020-21 campaign.

Mount inked his new deal at Stamford Bridge last summer and is currently paid around £88k per week on a contract that will last until 2024. With his talents on the pitch continuing to develop, he can expect to be a staple with the Blues for many years to come.

#16 Hakim Ziyech - £100,000 per week

One of Chelsea’s first signings in the recent transfer window, Moroccan playmaker Hakim Ziyech was brought to Stamford Bridge from Ajax. His arrival might’ve been overshadowed by the signings of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, but there’s no denying his impact so far.

After recovering from injury, Ziyech has now delivered two goals and three assists in just seven appearances. He now looks like the player who could well fire Chelsea into a Premier League title challenge this season – and seems to be well worth his £100k-per-week contract.

#15 Antonio Rudiger - £100,000 per week

Perhaps no other Chelsea player has fallen further in the pecking order since the start of 2020-21 than Antonio Rudiger. The German defender was seen as almost indispensable last season but has yet to make a Premier League appearance in the current campaign.

Rudiger reportedly turned down moves elsewhere in the recent transfer window, so he clearly believes he can still salvage his Chelsea career. If he cannot, though, he’ll remain a highly-paid reserve at Stamford Bridge, as his £100k-per-week deal runs to the summer of 2022.

#14 Mateo Kovacic - £100,000 per week

Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic came under fire during his first season at Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri. However, in the 2019-20 campaign, his ball-carrying abilities and passing range was far more appreciated under new boss Frank Lampard.

Still a key part of Chelsea’s first team, Kovacic has made a total of eight appearances thus far into 2020-21. And with a deal that runs until 2024, it’s likely that he’ll continue to rise in reputation at Stamford Bridge for at least a while yet.

#13 Reece James - £100,000 per week

Another Chelsea academy graduate to be making a major impact on the first team, Reece James, has thus far enjoyed a fantastic 2020-21. The England international has not only edged out veteran Cesar Azpilicueta to become Chelsea’s first-choice right-back, but he’s also scored his first Premier League goal.

With tons of ability and an attitude that should see him continue to improve, the sky seems to be the limit for James at Stamford Bridge. And with a new deal inking him until 2025, expect him to go from strength to strength in the Blues’ first team.

#12 Marcos Alonso - £100,000 per week

Marcos Alonso has fallen behind new signing Ben Chilwell in Chelsea's pecking order.
Marcos Alonso has fallen behind new signing Ben Chilwell in Chelsea's pecking order.

Despite being a key player for Chelsea since his arrival at the club in 2016, Marcos Alonso’s time as a first-team regular now appears to have come to an end. New signing Ben Chilwell is now considered the Blues’ first-choice left-back, with Alonso seen more as a reserve.

However, the Spaniard may well get another chance in the starting XI due to the injury picked up by Chilwell on international duty. That should put an end to any reports of Alonso potentially looking at a move away from Stamford Bridge in the near future.

#11 Thiago Silva - £110,000 per week

Veteran Thiago Silva has had an extremely positive impact on Chelsea's defense since arriving from PSG.
Veteran Thiago Silva has had an extremely positive impact on Chelsea's defense since arriving from PSG.

With Chelsea’s defense being their weak point throughout 2019-20, it looks like their signing of Thiago Silva could prove to be a masterstroke. The Brazilian veteran joined the Blues on a free transfer, and the club have managed to cut the £300k-per-week deal he had with Paris St. Germain down by almost a third.

Since his arrival, Silva has been a first-team regular and has certainly helped to shore up Chelsea’s back-line while also having a positive influence on the younger Kurt Zouma. At 36 years old, his Blues career may not last that long, but he may well end up having a major impact at the club.

#10 Olivier Giroud - £110,000 per week

Olivier Giroud may have to look elsewhere for first-team football before the summer.
Olivier Giroud may have to look elsewhere for first-team football before the summer.

One man who may look to force his way out of Stamford Bridge in the near future is Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman earns a solid £110k per week at Chelsea, but he also has hopes of making France’s European Championship squad. Giroud also hasn’t made a Premier League start in 2020-21.

Giroud’s current deal expires in the summer of 2021, meaning he’s unlikely to remain with the Blues for much longer. But given he was able to score eight Premier League goals last season, he may still be able to make an impact in the current campaign if he’s given the chance.

#9 Jorginho - £110,000 per week

When Maurizio Sarri departed Chelsea in the summer of 2019, it felt like Jorginho’s time at Stamford Bridge was numbered. The Italian international had been brought to the club from Napoli by Sarri and had come under fire from Blues fans for his performances.

However, he’s surprisingly thrived under Frank Lampard and was a first-team regular last season. In the current campaign, he’s made seven appearances, scored three goals, and made one assist. With a contract that runs until 2023, it looks like the metronomic passer could remain a major part of Lampard’s plans for a while yet.

#8 Callum Hudson-Odoi - £120,000 per week

Callum Hudson-Odoi is still looking for more first-team opportunities at Chelsea.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is still looking for more first-team opportunities at Chelsea.

Eyebrows were raised a year ago when Chelsea handed Callum Hudson-Odoi a new deal – making him one of their highest-paid players on £120k per week in the process. The contract was intended to put Bayern Munich off their chase of the 20-year-old and a sign of Chelsea’s faith in the youngster.

However, since the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz, Hudson-Odoi has once again found first-team football hard to come by, despite scoring two goals in just seven appearances, five from the bench.

The England international is still likely to get his opportunity this season, but it’d also be easy to understand if he was becoming frustrated, too.
