Chelsea's Samuel Eto'o dismisses transfer rumours as 'false and degrading'

Chelsea's Eto'o celebrates after scoring a goal against Liverpool during their English Premier League soccer match in London

Chelsea forward Samuel Eto’o has insisted that he has no intention of leaving the club, taking to Instagram to label speculation that wants to leave as being “false and degrading.” Chelsea are widely expected to bolster their front line in the summer, with none of their current forward players setting the Premier League alight this season, prompting speculation over Eto’o’s place in Chelsea’s squad.

However the Cameroonian, who is the top Premier League scorer of Chelsea’s strikers this season, insists that he is looking to stay at Stamford Bridge and denied that he is concentrating on a move rather than the club.

In his Instagram post, Eto’o dismissed speculation that he is looking to end his Chelsea career at the next oppurtunity.

“False and degrading information has been published about me,” he opened.

“I just want to remind to all that I have a tremendous love for Chelsea. I have a lot of respect for my leaders and teammates.

“I love Chelsea fans and I will keep on giving everything I have to defend the Blues.”

The 32 year old has made 17 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring six goals.
