Rio de Janeiro - Former Brazil striker Adriano has won a $900,000 payout from Brazilian club Corinthians, ending a bitter legal battle with his old employer.
The 30-year-old had sought $30 million in owed wages and compensation caused by alleged damages to his image.
“We came to an amicable agreement and everything has been resolved,” Corinthians legal spokesman Luiz Alberto Bussab was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
Adriano, who has scored 27 goals in 48 international appearances for Brazil, was released by Corinthians in March.

The club said the former Inter Milan and Roma striker had missed 67 physiotherapy sessions following surgery on his left Achilles tendon last year.
The forward underwent a second procedure on the tendon in April and has recuperated under the guidance of former club Flamengo, who he helped to the 2009 Brazilian Serie A title.
