Ronaldo reached another goalscoring milestone with Juventus in Serie A after a brace against Sampdoria.

What's the story?

Cristiano Ronaldo, the record-breaking Juventus superstar scored his 13th and 14th goals of the season, when Juventus beat Sampdoria 2-1 at home yesterday. He also became the top scoring Portuguese international in a single Serie A season in just 19 appearances when he opened the scoring in the second minute of the match.

With his third brace in the season, he took his tally for the season to 14 goals and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is currently the league's top goalscorer.

In case you didn't know...

Ronaldo scored Juventus' 5000th goal in the Serie A earlier this month in the Turin derby.

Ever since securing a move to the Old Lady, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward has been on fire and has broken numerous records in the famous Black and White jersey.

For the first time since 2010 Ronaldo failed to score 50 goals in calendar year as he finished this year with a total of 49 goals for club and country, 2 less than the other GOAT Lionel Messi.

The heart of the matter...

When Ronaldo scored with a low curler two minutes after the kick-off whistle was blown, he became the top scoring Portuguese international in a single Serie A season, overtaking Rui Barros, who had scored 12 goals back in the 1988-89 season for the Old Lady.

When he restored his club's lead with a 65th minute penalty, he also helped Juventus achieve a record number of points with 53 from 19 games before the three-week winter break kicked in.

What's next?

Bianconeri remain unbeaten in the Serie A so far this season and have a 9-point lead over second placed Napoli heading into the winter break.

Their €100 million investment in the 33-year-old Ronaldo this summer has paid off handsomely.

Ronaldo is on track to claim the top scorer's title in Serie A as well after having finished as the top marksman in the Premier League and LaLiga on multiple occasions.

Juventus are back in action on 13th of January next year and will also face AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana Final on 16th.
